Born in New York City in 1989, Tomas Majcherski grew up between the South Fork of Long Island and the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Tomas took to music at a young age, eventually studying Saxophone under the direction of Hal Mckusick. After studying philosophy at Columbia University on a full scholarship, he decided to pursue music as a career. Eventually settling in New Orleans, he received an MMA from the University of New Orleans, where he studied under the direction of Edward Petersen. In 2018 he was awarded the ASCAP Louis Armstrong Foundation Scholarship for his compositions. In 2022, Tomas resettled back in New York City, where he is currently based. He has performed in many cities and countries around the world, including at the Montreal Jazz Festival, New Orleans Jazz Festival, Ottawa Jazz Festival, and the Umbria Jazz Festival.
